Wednesday - Digital Imaging - assignment: emotion.

Using one or some of your old pictures, I would like you to MAKE a picture that shows what you think of when you hear the word 'cool'. Make the picture 12"wide by 10" tall 72ppi. This should be a fun assignment. Use several pictures, parts of pictures, people, things, etc. make it look great.
This assignment can be worked on today and Monday. No pressure. Be sure and get all your other assignments in for this class and for your others.
Let me know if you need to study something else. Please do not leave just to 'shoot pictures'. I know it's hard but I can't have my class wandering around the campus unless there is a specific assignment.
Wednesday - Digital Imaging - assignment: night time color streaks.

Your assignment for today was to produce 10 pictures at night time that showed the streaks of color produced by cars as they pass by. Make sure that each picture is clear except for the color streaks. No flash. Each picture needs to be 500 px wide by 400px tall 72ppi. Since you have 10 or more of each of these, make them into a webphoto gallery, make a link on your homepage to the gallery, save the gallery and put a copy of it into my 'website_current' folder.
Note: this is an assignment that cannot be made up. I specifically told everyone that this was due Wednesday - no later. If you do not have this assignment, I would suggest that you work on outstanding assignments. There are just a few days left.
Monday Assignment: 10 friends/classmates and their handbags or backpacks. This is due on Monday - no late assignments accepted.

Class, make sure that you check your grades for any outstanding assignments.
The current assignment, 'self portraits' should have the final result
in mind: 5-10 finished portraits, framed, use filters and finishing techniques
(smoothing, blending, clone tool, brushes, etc.) These final pictures
are to be displayed on your website. I would like you to write on your
website about your experience of shooting pictures of yourself. If you are
in the 'beginning photography' you do not need to place these pictures on
your website.
Make sure that you place your updated website in the 'website_current' folder. I will try and upload them on Wednesday during the class or on Monday morning.
Assignment for Monday/Wednesday:
This is one of my favorite subjects.
17_Hands.
Please take the time to make some great images of hands. All photos should
end up as black and white, 15 photos. You can show hands doing many different
things as well as at rest. Be creative, use the lighting to make them interesting.
End result: 15 pictures, 600 px by 600 px black frame, 500px by 500 px black
and white photo in the black frame. Make a web photo gallery out of these
and place on your website. Make a link on your homepage to connect to the
gallery. Place the updated website in 'website_current' folder.
